What happens after a fire

Board up and site security
Broken windows, doors and burned-through openings are enclosed and braced, 24 hours a day. That keeps out weather and intruders while the claim gets under way.
Contents pack out
Salvageable contents are packed, logged and moved to secure, climate-controlled storage. The computerized inventory lists every item, which makes Proof of Loss forms easier to complete.
Smoke and soot cleanup
Debris goes out first. Soot is cleaned from surfaces and the HVAC system, and contents are cleaned on and off location. Moisture left by firefighting is dried down before mold can start.
Odour elimination
Smoke odour does not fade on its own. Odour control and air management equipment removes it at the source, with technology built for tough odours.
Reconstruction
From patch and paint to the full reconstruction of a burned-out building. In-house carpenters and cabinet shops handle millwork, installation and finish work.

Secure, pack out, deodorize, rebuild

The fire protocol, on every loss. The site is secured before anything else moves.

  1. Secure

Call, and a crew boards up broken windows, doors and other openings. The site is enclosed and braced, any hour, before recovery starts.

  2. Pack out and clean

Contents are packed, logged in a computerized inventory and moved to secure storage. Debris is removed, the structure is dried down, and surfaces and ducts are cleaned.

  3. Deodorize

Smoke odour is removed at the source, not masked. Odour control and air management equipment treats the rooms, the contents and the air itself.

  4. Rebuild

Drywall, paint, millwork and finishes. Our repair crews rebuild what the fire took, and the job closes documented for your insurer.

Paperwork is part of the job

A fire claim covers the building and everything in it. The record we keep is built for your adjuster.

Priced in Xactimate
Estimates are prepared in Xactimate with detailed cost breakdowns. We provide scope and cost documentation to the property team and adjuster; the insurer decides coverage. See insurance claims.
Proof of Loss, made easier
Every packed-out item is logged in a computerized contents inventory. When your insurer asks for a Proof of Loss, the list is already built.
Careful with the cleanup
The cleaning method and products are selected for the affected material and documented scope. HEPA vacuuming, surface cleaning and odour treatment are sequenced to address residue rather than simply masking the smell.

Dispatch is open right now

Smoke does not air out on its own.

The longer soot and odour sit, the harder they are to remove. Call, and a crew gets moving.
